Aging isn't always easy. But guess what, it's inevitable! You ARE getting older. You ARE aging. Youth can NOT last forever.

I didn't have to work at ageing. I just sat back and let it happen. I've never been happier. Never worry about how I look. Just try and be neat and clean. Don't care what anyone thinks. People who don't like old people can take a flying jump off the next ledge. Don't worry if I want to stay home. Don't bother answering questions, the phone or the door if I don't feel like it. Aging is a privilege is what I have learned. My mom passed at 54, uncle at 49, brother at 45, Grandma at 64. My Grandpa made it to 80. I am the last of my immediate family (the ones who raised me and were apart of my childhood and younger life, that is). I am 50, and am doing my best to live as long as possible for my kiddo and hubby.

Aging is a privilege, and not everyone gets that privilege. Three days after Christmas a wicked storm blew through my town and took the life of an eighteen year old girl. She lived down the street from me with her family. Absolutely tragic. Every day is a blessing. ❤

Just turned 55 let my hair go gray a year ago and am loving it. Best part about being older is it doesn’t matter what other people think of me because I really like who I am. Praise Jesus
