It’s not that I can’t socialize, I just have absolutely no desire to talk to the majority of people. I find most people very annoying but if someone is cool and we share a common interest I can go on and on in conversation with them.

But the problem is when I talk, they don’t contribute to the convo, they give me close ended answers making it feel as if I’m taking an interview of that person.
And when u DONT talk, they’re like “oh I didn’t know you were here, cuz u don’t talk!”

Another good advice is to ask questions! Instead of not talking or just answering with short answers, keep the conversation going and be confident! :)

The best advice I ever got about socializing is to make the person you’re talking to as comfortable as possible (which also makes you focus on them rather than yourself and worrying how to talk, sit, what to say next etc. you listen to them more and the conversation becomes more engaging and by default makes you more comfortable too) This works like magic especially with introverts
