DELL LAPTOP BIOS PASSWORD RESET

Dell security is kinda meh because as it turns out a PASSWORD RESET for the BIOS on a laptop is possible with no special tools or knowledge. It's quite simple as you can learn about it with this video.

I want to say thank you for the video because I just got my laptop back. My ex was trying to steal my laptop, so I sent my laptop with a friend of mine. I know he has been using it which I told him that’s fine but when he moved, my laptop ended up in his storage for over three years. Now, I finally get my laptop back and this bullshit password shows up that I can’t get past. I’m so thankful for people who post ways to help others with computers. Worked for a notebook Dell G7!!!
In a first moment I was afraid of this URL page, but it really reset the bios admin password!!!
I forgot my bios password, but with this page I managed to clear my password, dont think it's a type of scam or something else, it really worked!!

Thanks for this! It saved me the time of hooking up my SOP8/SOIC8 clip and to the BIOS chip and reflashing the BIOS. Good stuff! Also, and I know others have mentioned it, but don't forget to hold down the left CTRL button while pressing ENTER. Thanks again!

Works good on Dell Latitude 5480. I took it apart, took out battery and cmos battery tried to drain power. That did nothing. Then I found your video and fixed it. This proves you are the (computer) MAN! Thanks much. 04-06-23

Does not work on a latitude 7430, it only provides the “ Dell HDD Serial Number (Old)” which does not work. How do we obtain the “Dell from Serial Number” in this situation???

It works !!! My old Dell xps 13 6343 admin account recoverd. Just beware if you have an AZERTY keyboard, the bios is in QWERTY.

It works, it generates some time two codes on two separate lines, for me the second code worked by pressing ctr + enter in the end. CMOS bios battery reset it did not reset bios password just for reference, to save other people time.

on dells, just hit f2 on startup and it goes right to the bios, , no need to hit f12, which is boot device
