Thank you brother. This worked excellent for me. I found a clean bios (possible factory one) for the 7400 and it worked excellent. I used a ch341a and soldered the thin cables. The clip doesn’t work with wson8 type chips. Good luck to all.

Was given a Dell Latitude 7400 with locked BIOS, Hoping this method works for me tomorrow when I have the bits.
I found a clean BIOS with someone else's ME, so i'm hoping replacing it with mine does the trick :)
Thanks for a straight to point video.

Hey man, I just want to start off by saying very informative video! I have a 7400 8FC8 latitude on my hands and have no experience soldering or reprogramming bios chips. My device is perfectly usable with the bios locked but I was just wanted to ask how risky is it? Could it potentially mess up the motherboard or some other parts? I have experience disassembling and replacing and am very knowledgeable with that but again, no experience soldering. Thanks!

Hi, maybe one of you will be able to help me. I have a dell latitude 3400 E7A8 with a locked bios. I found out about it when windows crashed and I wanted to install windows again. I can't change the "boot menu" and select as first flash drive. Maybe there is some other way to change the order in the boot menu that doesn't require doing the operation shown in the video. If I remove the drive from my laptop and plug it into another computer, install the system there and then put the drive back into the laptop, will it work? SSD also has some kind of lock that could prevent it? Can anyone give me some advice? Sorry for my English, it's not the best.

Hey man nice guide and thank you for the video!

I have a DELL Latitude 5410 and I can’t find the BIOS Chip on the back side of the Mainboard there are no chips I could read on the other side are two chips I can read but it doesn’t seem to be the bios what I read out, or am I using wrong software?

I use the ch43a eeprom reader.. and both chips are from gigadevice

Well, I proceeded with the method you are doing but it didn't work. I don't know if it was the dun that I was able to get for the 7300. Is there any possibility that you could provide me with that bios or that I could buy it? I have an emergency with that computer.

My Dell Latitude 7400 stayed in "Dell security manager" and also had an administrator password. Do you have a solution if I don't know the password?
