This is why you keep manufacturing on American soil.

Return manufacturing to the U.S. and rely less on these ports should be part of the solution.

I remember what Reagan did, he fired everyone who was striking, I think that may have to be done for the dock workers…

We can’t literally afford this strike. Things cost too much as it is!

Don't forget that the Union president makes 900, 000 per year. A good question to ask is how will the union be enriched by this?

Elderly & low income who only get paid once a month will be hurting again waiting for funds. Please check in on those who depend on others to shop for food, etc.

They want a 77% raise in 6 years. No experience off the street making 60 to a 120$ an hour. Turned down a 55% raise. Greed

Soooo, these dock workers make more than I do. "Dock workers on the West Coast make about $55 per hour compared with the East and Gulf Coast average of $39 per hour for experienced workers." Guess how much sympathy I have for them? NONE.

Not gonna lie… this was awful timing for those of us who just went through and are trying to recover from Helene. Our shelves are already low or empty because of people panicking. Now they’re gonna panic even more.

Beans, rice, oats, pasta, wheat, oil, and sugar are the bottom basics and the least expensive, but it could save your life. Stock up!!

People should always keep like a months extra food on hand, and supplies. You never know if the grid is going to knocked out. I know it's hard in this economy. But it's something that people should think about.

Try living on Social Security Benefits. 2.6% COLA. Laughable. 30 % purchasing power loss over last 20 years. Best

What is wrong with those dockworkers? Seriously? They're willing to sacrifice our countries well being so they can be richer, richer than more than 50% of the country. DOCK WORKERS

Best comment of the week … Commerce Secretary when asked about the strike saying she hadn’t been keeping an eye on it 🤯Could anyone have put together a more incompetent cabinet?

Live in a small town between Buffalo and Rochester NY, in this town, we have constant railroad traffic, generally several
trains every hour... today I walked several hours and saw only one single train and it appeared to be mostly empty cars and engines, other assorted heavy rail equipment. Definitely a noticable difference but no one else seems to notice

How about we just automate stuff and put them in the unemployment line
