The Best Carp Pack Bait - This works for the beginner or the experienced angler. Simple and all grocery stores have the 3 ingredients . Use this with whole Kernal Corn on a # 1 Gamakatsu Octopus hook (see below).

Daiwa Millionaire II 5000 on Abu Rod
Daiwa Millionaire II 6000 on US Lite Rod
all with 16 lb Momoi Hi Vis Line
Pack bait of Oatmeal , creamed corn, Vanilla
Canned Corn as Bait
Rig is 1 oz of lead, small swivel, and a very short length of 30 lb Flouro then a # 1 Gamokatsu Octopus hook. With the rig the carp feel the stiffness of the leader(why you use 30 lb flouro) and tries to spit it out. Being stiff if doesn't get spit out, the carp spooks, runs, and Hooks itself.

I use a very similar recipe; I'd just add two 8 oz. cans of plain Panko bread crumbs and another can of creamed corn. I vary the flavors just about every time out to keep 'em guessing. I will say that when I have fished vanilla versus other flavors, the vanilla always caught more fish. Great tips about using pure vanilla, mixing the vanilla with the creamed corn before adding to the dry oats, and the secret maple & brown sugar enticer--I'll have to give that one a try! Good one Mack, are you going to do a new carp fishing video too? I use a can of panko bread crumbs and a can of sweet or creamed corn and a pack of strawberry jello. When I get ready to carp fish I bait up the spot with corn a couple days before though so I don't know how much drawing power my packbait has lol. Have you ever tried carp fishing at Shearon Harris?
