Willow - Teaser Trailer Reaction

In the original film, Willow embarked on a quest to deliver a young child he found near his village, and protect her from an evil sorceress who wished her harm. Willow found himself in completely foreign territory, having rarely ever left his small hometown. His journey is littered with vile monsters and wretched servants of the evil Empress Bavmorda, but Willow also meets a troupe of lifelong friends who assist him in the journey, such as the arrogant yet lovable swordsman Madmartigan. Difficult as these trials may have been, Willow ultimately prevailed in his quest and protected the young child, before returning to his home with a new love and appreciation for studying magic.

I haven't watched Willow in about 20 years, but I always remember it being one of my fave films as a child. And I also LOVED the arcade platform game they released for it. Looking forward to rewatching the original film, and watching the new series.

Trailer looks great and I guess they did some filming Iceland because that is where that very first shot of the beach is from. It looks like the property is in some good passionate hands.

Yes, please do a rewatch/review of "Willow"! I get that when you're a kid, sometimes plots and situations in movies can go over your head just because you're not old enough to understand what's happening, so it'll be great to see this through the eyes of an adult. Plus, it'll help you get up to speed when the series comes out. 😉😍

I am in the same camp as Adam and Agustin, I saw the movie years and years ago when I was a kid but my memory of it all is hazy at best. This trailer does exactly what a good trailer should do; draws me into the world and makes me want to live there for as long as they will let me. This will definitely make me go back and re-watch the movie just to refresh, and I am hyped if you guys are going to do a watch along/reaction series!

Well... Willow was my Lord Of The Rings growing up. I've always been a huge Star Wars fan and a George Lucas fan, so of course I love Willow. And I can't wait to see this series.

I was a major fan of Willow when it came out, I saw it in the theater many times! In movies since, I have seen many scenes from Willow referenced and nearly copied, because they were so epic. I was worried this show might disappoint because I love the original, but it looks amazing and I couldn't be happier!!

I absolutely teared up when I saw they were making this. I Would LOVE a rewatch and a series watch along, I love how you guys enhance my whole viewing experience. Adventure Time!

I am so excited for this. Willow was always a favourite growing up. 90s kid but I am SO grateful to my parents for getting us to watch all the stuff from the 80s including Krull, the Dark Crystal, the Last Unicorn, Legend, Labyrinth, Neverending Story, etc.
It will be interesting to see who the main villain is, though my money is on Bavmorda returning because she wasn't killed but rather banished. I also really hope that they've got others to return (we saw Joanna Whalley who played Sorsha in this), particualrly Rick Overton and Kevin Pollak who played the brownies Rool and Franjean. There may be an appearance by Val Kilmer but I don't think we should have that expectation of him.

As many others have said, I really loved this movie when I watched it as a kid. In fact, for me, it was more interesting/captivating than LOTR, possibly because of the prominent women’s roles and Val Kilmer. So I am betting thrilled that we’re getting this.

Willow is a great movie! Partially filmed in New Zealand (crossroads scene, mountains scenes, Fin Razel's island), having a big Hollywood Lucasfilm production in my home country was a huge deal at the time. Also it's one of my favourite fantasy films ever, which I rewatch regularly. Extremely excited for this series!
