Macapuno is very rare to find. But there's a coconut tree that produces macapuno. My mother love that and also me. ❤❤❤

U can buy this in a filipino stores with coconut strings. Can be eaten as a dessert. Tastes like water with sugar with some coconut taste. It’s really good.

This type of coconut are usually found in high hilly area, where they thrive on the lush water from heavy rainfall and high moisture from the soil. Even though coconut trees are not native to our places, they are introduced from outside. We live in a sub tropical temperate region in the NE Part of India. Coconut trees do thrive well in the lower part of our hill which are usually 500 mtrs or 1600 ft from sea level. Almost all the coconut grown in our region have a gel like that instead of watery juice like those found in plain area and near the ocean. We usually store and used as moisturizer and used in some dishes...but as Coconut are not native they are not used for cash crop but as landscaping decor so we don't produce too much of it for commercial purposes.
