British Airways Business Class Review: Club Suites

Epic journey to share with you all aboard a British Airways Boeing 777-300 in their Club Suites cabin from their home at London’s Heathrow through to Tokyo.

Overall, a really super service from BA, with thanks largely to this fantastic new seat combined with a superb service from the crew. Couple of little bits for them to look at to really elevate the experience which the video touches on however, all in all, a very solid business class offering from them.

A really comprehensive trip report, thank you! Looks like BA have the hard product right in terms of the Club Suite on the 777. It's the inconsistencies in the soft product and onboard service which let them down in my opinion but I have to say the meals on your particular flight looked decent and sounds like you had a fantastic crew. We're flying to Tokyo with Qatar business in May. We live in Mallorca, so have to go to a major airport to start. I chose Madrid so as to get Qatar (via Doha) but total flight time is a bit more at 15 or so hours. I could be tempted to swap to BA from LHR, as the price is similar, but the Qsuites are definitely in a class above BA business, both hard and soft product, and the Doha Qatar lounges (2 now) are excellent. Overall journey time is at least 3 hours more, but I think the stop in Doha for a shower and snacks helps break it up a bit.

Looks pretty good service from BA nice to see freshly painted aircraft, being picky but some additional cleaning required in the storage bins and that sliding door looked pretty grim, but the seat looked extremely comfortable and the layout of the cabin looked really good. The Lounge looks better with the new seats some were looking really tired, but a great report

One thing that shocked me on BA Club Suite to cape town was how insanely small the bedding is, its almost like a small apron then something that would cover the seats. BA still have alot of catching up to do IMO

Nice report - thank you! When traveling from B Gates, the lounge over there is always my preference - the same (or very nearly) offer and usually far less crowded. Very difficult to get back from there though so not really an option if flying from A Gates.
BA really do need to rethink their shower suites and toilets - they've taken inspiration from NHS hospitals which is just unpleasant and way behind pretty much every competitor.
I'm not sure how traditionally British Yakatoti Chicken is! 🙂
Overall and considering the cost, I'm still far from convinced about BA's Club / Business class offering and would still prefer to fly with a number of other airlines, especially when flying to the Middle East, Far East and Oceania

Thanks for an awesome review on the BA Club World Suite. I am due to fly in the same cabin in May this year from Johannesburg International Airport in South Africa to London Heathrow. My seat which I have already selected is 6A which, I guess, will be pretty similar to your seat which was 9K. Did you find the seat quite comfortable and more specifically the centre part of the seat when it was flat? Would love to hear your comments....

I thought BA only operate the old club world cabin on this LHR route to Tokyo?? I’m booked on BA0007 end of October on this exact route and it’s the old cabin which is a bit of a shame but it’s not the end of the world, still more than good enough for me and was under 3k return so a good price too.

Food is probably one of the things I’m most excited about (in life in general, haha!) and I was wondering if there were vegan options on the menu, and did you have to pay for the extra snacks at the snack bar?
