Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. I forgot to mention it at the beginning. I’m almost at 3 million. Let’s make it happen!

Um, I'd say that ANY scale sounds incredible with THAT guitar tone.

3:18 - ths is what I call the Andy Summers Chord. He uses this shape in Message in a Bottle and Every Breath You Take.

Practicing like this will help your ear in real time so much better than mundane exercises, way more applicable. Great video!

I love it when you say, "Like that." Not because the video is over, it's that you have explained the idea completely.

YES - what you practice is what you play - if your practice noise it will show in your playing - practising something musical elevates your physical playing as well as your musical awareness..

I can only play the keyboard, but here I sit watching you practice on the guitar...and find myself enjoying it. Love your channel!

At about 6:30 of the video, when Rick says : "I have never played that sound before."
Those are the moments one is after as a musician.

4:24 - This reminds me of the lick Billy Howerdel uses during the verse of A Perfect Circle’s “The Hollow” if it were transposed.

I love that sound. Great lesson as always.

Long time watcher never commented… I play piano (as a hobby) and don’t read music… and I still love these instructionals. The way you demonstrate and don’t dumb down the technicals but make it relatable is great. 🤩🎸✨

Top tip, watch Rick’s videos to the end. The gem here is in the last minute or so, delightful!

That is indeed musical, love the arpeggios. The first sequence is a song.
