sooo…. This kid needs a class on basic thermodynamics.
That 1/2” rebar will bend just as easily without heating it up and then immediately putting it in a steel/iron vice which sucks the heat out of the workpiece in the amount of time it takes him to find the tools to bend it.
Looks like he figured it out at some point and heated the rod while it was in the vice while having the tools handy.
