2021 Silverado - Range Technology AFM and DFM Disabler Review

In this video we review the Range Technology AFM and DFM disabler for my 2021 Chevy Silverado. This product works with GM 5.3 6 speed, 5.3 8 speed, and 5.3 10 speed.

Get ya a pulsar buddy. It’s unbelievable the difference in throttle response. Feels like I picked up 50 hp. Everything else it does is just a bonus.

If you remove the AFM/DFM there is a lot more to it than just changing the lifters, you have to change the cam and the oil pump too. If you disable it you don't need the very high oil pressure pump.

I got lucky my 2021 Custom trailboss didnt come with AFM 5.3 6 speed built in March 21. Still getting 16 city 18-20 HWY on a good day.

My LT built in May 2021 already came without DFM due to the chip shortage and a $50 discount for not having that feature. 🙌🏼

I have a 2020 Silverado 1500 LT 5.3 my truck comes with AFM AND DFM would u recommend getting this device ? And i do have flowmeter outlaw extreme cat back exhaust did u notice any difference driving ur truck after you plug that in ?

Just purchased this device for a 2016 corvette, although I’ve never heard of a corvette having any AFM engine issues, I just didn’t want to take a chance.

I have a 2022 LTD 5.3 10 speed. Is range tech the only option for me? I see other options but not compatible with 10 speed.

My 2019 LT came with Dfm.
There is no indication of cylinder shutdown, How can I be sure if there is no indicator on dash on cylinder
mode? Also is the ranger
disabler a benefit not sure I need it.

Dude I've had 2 bent pushrods in my 2017 Silverado in 7000 miles. I'm getting me one of these before the AFM costs me an engine.

I have a 21’ 5.3 w/6spd and my truck was ordered without the AFM system. Was like a $1600 upgrade charge.

I have a ramdon question. Are you happy with Shadow gray or you miss the black. I have always had a black truck, but i am getting the shadow gray. I am a bit nervous.

Question. I had an electric step installed and they used my port to plug it into. Do they sale a splitter of some sort so I can still use my range tech?

I have a 2020 custom trail boss 5.3 mine doesn't have any of that shit on there it just drives doesn't turn off cylinder as well on the highway I'm so confused I thought you had a 2021 custom trail Boss they're putting active fuel management on those now?

Worse case scenerio you have metal shavings in your motor after failed lifters. I like everything you said and it makes sense but I can't buy a chevy truck now because I'll never buy brand new. Might have to just get a used heavy duty pick up.
