Great video! Really like your V8 single cab. Four doors are a dime a dozen but these new body single cabs are like gold.

Sorry for the double post but I just saw this! Range said when the vehicle is off, the drain is around 3mA. A “normal” drain on a parked vehicle is 50-80mA. So this thing is super negligible. The other normal components in your vehicle account for 95% of the drain. This thing couldn’t drain a AA battery, much less a truck battery. There’s zero reason to ever unplug it.

Just tried it. Left it plugged in while I was out driving tractor-trailer for 5 days. Came back in today (8-19-2022) turned the key, VROOM! No issues! No dead battery!

I have a 2011 Silverado 5.3 crew cab and I forgot about my Range Technology and left it in for 2 weeks, went out there and it started right up ⬆️

I have the Range plug in also and have not had any battery problems when not using the truck for 7-10 days.

If your battery is on its way out it will start having issues after a week of not running. Otherwise you should be ok.

Will turning off AFM actually prevent the failure? I turned mine off years ago with a tuner. Starting to hears some intermittent tapping every now and then. Wondering if its finally happening..

Good info. I’ve been debating getting one of these. 2019 Silverado. I see you’re from Ct. as I am also and my question is what about emissions? They use the port for that. What do you do?

I have had one in my 2016 Corvette for 18 months. It sets idle for 2-3 weeks in winter and have never had a battery issue.

I had mine install a year ago in 2013 5.3L and haven't had any issue about drain the battery except the stereo malfunction cause the check engine light reduced power with traction stabilizer control after replace to after market touch screen stereo everything went back to normal, anyway the AFM with pedal commander combine does work great though

I have left the chip in there after buying it guys! Over 5 months I believe and today I was driving and something came up on the dashboard about saving battery the Ac cut out then I turned it back on and behold the truck said something about stabilitytrack it drove like shit the wheels weren’t spinning right and I freaked out and began to pull over after turning the truck off and on and keeping the ac off I began to drive I’ve seen the batter drop to 9 on the gauge so I’m thinking it’s either a bad alternator but I’m sure it has already caused damage to my battery 😞 I will fight auto zone and say I have warranty 👏🏼 left the chip out tonight 😿

I don't know if somebody else has commented about it but my question is do you know if that would work on the hybrid editions on a 2012 hybrid Silverado 1500 series 6.0 engine just curious to know what work on that kind of vehicle thank you so much
