Saw your first video on this and bought it. Helped with my oil consumption and made my truck drive alot better. Great product and have had one on my truck for almost a year as well.

We just bought our truck two weeks ago, and hubby is overseas so he isnt "learning" all this new stuff with me. I had no idea about this, I thought it was shifting funny and you just explained everything!!! I'd rather it be in 1 freaking mode instead of switching back and forth!!! I may get this for a smoother ride!!! Ty!!!

I've been using my Range AFM Disabler for a year and everything has been great. No problems.

I added a cold air intake with a range v4 disabler and DAMN!!! Feels like I'm driving a whole new truck!! Its super responsive now and just goes when I tap the pedal!

I just put this device on my 2009 Silverado 1500 with a 2" level kit and 32" tires. The V4 mode was driving me crazy. Horrible throttle response, shuddering, and all the "issues" that came along with that mode. After just a few miles of driving with the range plugged in, the gas mileage has already improved and has not left V8 mode. Best purchase I've ever made that wasn't for cosmetics. Next purchase is pipes!

I just bought an 09 sierra in brand new condition. I was talking to my co-worker about this because he has a similar year model chevy, and he just gave me his old one he doesn't use anymore! Saved me so much money, and it drives great.

I have an 07 Silverado, stock, and I've used the "Range" for about 5 yrs. now. The shifting back and forth was crazy before it was disabled and I really don't see a difference in the mileage. Some tanks, depending what I do, gets better mileage in V8 mode. This was a stupid idea GM came up with and the way the mechanism works on shutting down 4 cylinders is part of the reason for the earlier ones to consume oil. GM said it was normal but now they admit that it isn't and they will fix it provided you haven't gone over 100, 000 miles or 5 yrs. In other words for an 07 I would have to pay for the fix myself. So, yes, on the older ones you are better off keeping it in V8 mode. The newer ones such as the 2018 you have here, they did improve the fuel management but you are still better off in V8 mode. The same one I use in the 07 also worked in my sons, 2016 Gm Silverado. Hope this info helps.

Had mine on for almost a year, never take it off. Like the Blue night light to. It is great! V8 all the time and no worries on valve damage.

I was looking at the range, but ended up going with a edge monitor that includes the AFM disabler, along with everything else you could possibly need. Tunes, code reader, speed calibrator, speed governor delete, performance test etc and just a tool to monitor the truck. its been a 10/10 purchase in my opinion. As always, great video man!

I've got a 2017 Silverado LT stock. I've actually gained 3mpg using the chip. It's fully stock with no lift. I had no previous problems but wanted to try it and heard it will gain better mpg. It has and has ran better since. 3 months in by the way. I do let it run without the chip for about a day or two every month. No problems yet.

I have had the range on my 2017 for 5 months now and I haven’t had any issues. My truck is smoother and it has better acceleration, the range woke up my motor. I highly recommend it!!!

Has one of these on my 2009 Silverado for 6 years now and it still works perfectly. Never an issue. Jist have to take it off a day ahead of getting my truck inspected since they do emissions where I live.

Man, I just got a 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 5.3 L 4wd w/remote start . I’ve had it for a month now. It’s stock and didn’t realize that it had this V4 mode. I noticed that my truck downshifts a lot. I agree totally with what you have said. I think it works to hard shifting down to V4 mode. I think I may look into the product that you bought. Great Video man. I thought the truck had some kind transmission problem. Then I saw on my gauges V4 mode. I like your truck. Especially the Z71 trim. I have always liked the Chevy Silverado 1500 LT. I thought they looked a lot better than the other brands of trucks. But, I couldn’t afford to buy a brand new Silverado for around 50K. I have always had Toyato and Nissan’s trucks. This is my 1st American full size truck and I love it. Got my recall brake pedal done this week and it seem my brakes are a little bit smoother when pushing down on the pedal. It took about 30 minutes to install at dealership. Not a big deal and it’s was free. Well that’s enough for me. Keep making vids and I will keep watching.

I'm driving the 2019 5.3, and I live in South Louisiana. I find traveling I10 East or West, from Lafayette, LA to Mobile, AL, the V4 mode helps tremendously when the truck is lightload(empty) and the cruise control is set. In those perfect conditions, flat roads, no incline, no load and steady consistent speed is when the V4 mode helps tremendously(+ few miles to the gallon)... And the truck was completely stock when that traveling was taking place.. Outside of those perfect conditions, I feel the truck does better as a fulltime V8. Now that I've added the K&N Cold Air Intake, Catback Dual(Borla Atak) Exhaust system, 3.5" lift with 22" wheels wrapped with 35" tires, I don't get the couple extra miles to the gallon extra when I do happen to travel the flat interstate once in a while but overall, I find my fuel mileage stays on the better side of the average in constant V8 mode with the bigger tires and wheels vs the V4/V8 mode when the truck was stock.

It all makes sense now. With the alterations you have made its no wonder it was messing with your v4 mode. With a stock truck, mine works great.

Your idea of deactivating the Range every so often so that the 4 cy are active is Right On, that my friend is common since which is lacking in our Country right now! Exspecially when your truck had that mishap that freaked u out. I would do the same!

Hey man, I got a range after I saw your video on it before. I have the same truck as you all stock and I got it with 5min on it. Put 250mi on it before I got the range I’m at 1300mi now and I averaged 15.1mpg stock, 15.4mpg on the range. As far as the issues with it I haven’t had any but mine is the newest firmware as I got it about 2 months ago. Thanks for the vids man.
