I solved this problem, i spent 4 months testing a lot of machines to find the problem. So, the problem is te variation of VCore, some motherboards works with automatic Vcore and sometimes it drops and the computer reboot. The solution is: Put a nice cooler in your processor, disable turbo boost on bios (if able) and download the AMD Overdrive software. With the AMD Overdrive you can select the Vcore that you want in your processor. Put it on 1.38v (A6 5400K - A6 6600K i tested) and the problem stop. If you put in this Vcore your processor will say hot if you dont' have a nice cooler. I did this with a bad cooler and the problem continue, because the high temperature drop the Vcore too. I hope that this tips helps you, i'm a informatic tecnic and i tested a bunch of motherboards and processors util find the problem haha.

I have this problem too, but unfortunately your fix never worked on any of my two FM2 motherboards. However, I did find find my own workaround for one of them. So here are my 2 cents:

The first is an Asrock FM2A58M-HD+ (FM2+) with an A8-6600K CPU. It reboots randomly when I use any form of WiFi card or USB adapter, so I now I don't and instead use an old smart phone to connect to the internet on behalf of the PC via USB tethering. This allows my PC to connect online, though you have to manually set up tethering on the phone on each power on (but not reboot) and turn it off when the PC is not in use to conserve power. I would like to note that I have not tested wired connection for long durations as the modem/router is far away from my bed room and somewhat unsafe to use due to it snaking across doorways.

I had not much luck with my other FM2 motherboard but it's an HP Compaq Pro 6305 SFF (FM2 only) with an A6-5400B. The symptoms are the same with the first one, but I did find that it still rebooted while using the phone-internet tethering option. I have to admit that this only happened once and I have not fully tested it before I stashed it away to replace it with a very stable HP 6200 SFF's motherboard for cheap.

Both motherboards stop shutting down altogether once disconnected from the internet (wired/wifi), so I suspect it's something to do with the hardware - either MB or CPU or software or both. I've never had this issue on any of my other PCs like LGA 1155, 1150 or AM3 (eMachines El1358 for the WIN) or laptops (C2D T7700/Celeron 530 (socket 478) or i5 520m (PGA988/BGA1288)) so I'm really baffled as to why this occurs, especially when an older AM3 works far better (even with its GPU swapping quirks). I do hear/read that AM3+ Piledriver is beset with the same issues as well, but not sure about FM1.

What I also found is that reboots happen in successions after not using the computer for a while. i.e. If you don't use your computer 3-7 days, the propensity/likelihood of it rebooting once/twice within the next 24-48 increases substantially. Correlating with this is that after the reboots, the computer would stop being temperamental and realize that you are here to use it, so it ends up being working without a hitch for days/weeks. The downside is that it often forgets when you leave it unused in the aforementioned length of time (3-7d) so it's not uncommon for you to return to square 1. If you want the PC to be stable you will have to use your PC at least a few hours every day.

I always thought that the reboots were my fault for not looking after my components well enough (despite my bi-annual cleaning/re-pasting routine :D), but it looks like AMD really dropped the ball on this. I've always loved the idea of having an efficient PC with good integrated graphics and a capable processor, which my A8-6600K really hit the nail for me, but it's quite unfortunate that AMD - during its times of hardship (pre-Ryzen) - had to rush these processors/MB designs (including AM3+ Piledriver - not sure about Zambezi) just to stay afloat and compete against Intel. A real tragedy really for what could've been an excellent tech at the time, had they just tested it more.

In short, maybe use your phone for internet (USB tethering) and treat it like a cat - never forgot to feed it or it'll get mad and make you lose your work. APU's are still awesome and are an excellent alternative to a CPU+discrete GPU combo when it comes to older games as long as you manage your expectations

I had this cpu, it randomly reboots. It seems this problem is mostly on Richland series of apu. The cpu temps were too unstable. It seems underclocking is the only solution to avoid high cpu temps that causes random reboots.
