Great tip for the lab, we should tell the lab techs about the it, so the adjacent teeth scraping is to compensate for the finishing polishing procedures and get a tighter contact. Great!

Sir, Have you ever noticed that when we put crown on mandibular second molar after 2 years i have seen "Open Contacts" between 2nd molar crown and 3rd molar ??
May be Because of distal drifting of 3rd molar
Or some times in case of erupting 3rd molar
Sir please explain

OMG why to bother like that. You can go digital and forget about that fuss. I am not talking about intraoral scanners which in my opinion are still a pain in to use especially with multiunits cases. You can scan your impression nowadays, without a need to make a cut model. This way the fit and interproximal contacts are always perfect, not to mention that you can wipe out the excess cement with a sponge before it cures as the fit of the crown on the margin is just not palpable even when the crown is not cemented. It really makes a huge difference if you don't use plaster at all. I know it is hard to talk with technicians about scanning impressions as all of them claim it doesn't work. Well, I understand why. Sometimes it takes much time to scan every aspect of an impression and in fact, only a dentist can decide which part of the impression is not crucial and can cut it away to let the scanner reach all parts with its light. That is why I scan impressions by myself.
