IPR 🪚🦷 Interproximal Reduction - stripping

Interproximal reduction (IPR) or STRIPPING - (also called interproximal enamel reduction / slendering, air rotor stripping (ARS) or reproximation) is the practice of mechanically removing enamel from between the teeth to achieve orthodontic ends, such as to correct crowding, or reshape the contact area between neighboring teeth.

I used abrasive stripes and discs to remove black triangles.

Our ortho (my daughter and I) did this after our braces came off, is it suppose to hurt? Because it did. And he wants to do it again after 6 months.

I had had this done four times and just a warning it's a traumatic experience for some of us. if the teeth are super tightly wedged together it is AWEFUL having this done. it's like nails on a chalkboard IN YOUR MOUTH
