I use cyberlink youcam to record my desktop, however you can download hypercam 3 and hack its date and time to extend its trial version forever.

Please read the description too because there are some restriction and rules you must follow to keep the trial version running, if the trial expires it will still work but a big "expired" text will show up on top left of the screen.
