VANILLA MUG CAKE RECIPE

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons of melted butter
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 Cup of sugar
2 Tablespoons of milk

one day i tried a similar recipe that used oil instead of butter and my cake jumped out of the mug when it was in the microwave :(

I tried this but i used lemon zest instead of vanilla extract and water instead of milk ( since i did not have any of those ) and OMG it taste like heaven its so delicious! Usually when i made mug cakes the would either taste bad or be chewy, hard but this recipe was so spongy. It was just amazing

Thank you it was delicious!! I made my mix in a separate bowl and greased the mug before pouring the mix into it. I'm so glad that I don't have to scrub hard cake mix out of it now! If you are making this and you do not have a large mug, then I would half this recipe or make 2 mug cakes. I had a big mug and mine rose up in a cylinder shape about 4 inches when done. Also you can add 2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice for a fall flavor 😋

okay, This was pretty good but I wouldn't call the texture light and fluffy. Its kind of weird and spongy, But hey was can you expect from a cake you made in the microwave.
