2 Major ones: The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, which is now my favourite book of all time and Noah Barleywater Runs Away by John Boyne which I also loved, so I havn't really had bad experiences with pretty covers haha

I bought Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, The Program, My Life Next Door, Hate List, and My Beautiful Failure just because of the covers. And those are just a few of them!

I just got it this week so I haven't had a chance to read it yet but I love illustrated fairy tales, especially unconventional ones. I think it's going to be wonderful. I want to cover the dust jacket too before I start reading it. I can't wait to see what you think of it! <3

It's kind of funny that you bought Where Things Come Back based on the cover because I TOO bought it based on the cover, however it was a different version! The brown hardcover version with a woodpecker in the centre.

I haven't bought Wildwood yet, but when I first saw it in a bookstore I definitely wanted to because of the cover. I bought Broken Soup by Jenny Valentine because I loved the cover and it was only 4 euros on tbd. I had no idea what it was about but I ended up really liking it. The Night Circus is also one I bought because loved the cover and also because, after reading the synopsis I still had no idea what it was about. I can never resist buying the book when that happens somehow.

I bought gulliver's travels and dracula because they were in awesome fabric hardcovers w/ cool patterns. Also 'forgotten' by cat Patrick (australian cover) although the blurb was intriguing too.

unf! there are so many ... but here are some Mistborn by Brandson Sanderson (when the Mass Paperback 1st came out, saw it and bought it, fell in love, Sanderson in time became a premier author) Daytripper by Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba (story was good), Mortal Coils by Eric Nylund, Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi
