Whenever I Tutor my students, I always show them your videos as example lessons to watch before they come see me. Great job. Batman approves!

It would be good to include the periodic table when explaining the ions part. It would help to visualize it better, just a tip!

I was confused about this for a while, but it finally hit me:
He gets the charges of the ions from their position on the periodic table, which signifies how many electrons are in their outer shell.

Helpful future tip to memorize common polyatomic ions:

Nick the Camel ate a Clam for Supper in Phoenix.

Nick: N03^-
Camel: CO3^2-
Clam: CLO3^-
Supper: SO4^2-
Phoenix: PO4^3-

The charge is determined by the number of *vowels* to the corresponding word
The number of Oxygen atoms is determined by the number of *consonants* to the corresponding word.

The word "ate" shows that they all end in the root word "-ate".

Thank you for making this! I can never understand my chem w/o one on one. I can't learn as fast as everyone else in the class.

Thank you so much for this video!! I have watched dozens but yours was by far the best and most concise. The speed was just right, most people do this too fast and some of us get lost along the way.
