I called it, Project Fusion is the tech filed using Panasonic's free form screen tech, which has been given the codename "NX", which is the equivalent of their new gen competitive platform, based on Nintendo's new Social network setup service implementation, or evolution of what is found on the Wii u.

I interpreted the NX announcement similarly: that it's a software platform for cross-capability, not an actual piece of hardware.

They said NX won't be announced until next year.

NX is NOT a platform, it's a DEVICE, so it's hardware. Their platform is the thing that should link all the devices they're in.
It's impressive how information is given wrong, even by professionals ! It's the announcement of the Wii U all over again...

I think the NX is also a software, but for the PC. Maybe, Nintendo wants to also start their own STEAM like software. I will so spend a lot of money to get my Nintendo games on my PC.

its funny how the bigger news should be and is the "nintendo going mobile" thing. they just announced that there working on a next platform only to keep consumer confidence and what not. they're not even gonna release any specific details until next year. plus, i should already be a given that companies like sony, microsoft and nintendo are already working on their next platform, if there is any.

I disagree, I think the NX will be hardware but will include a unique OS that will work with 3ds, wii u, tablets, pc's, smart phones.  However I think the NX will be a long term dedicated gaming console and it will be atleast twice the power of ps4, with alot of unique features.  Also to tie in with the other platforms including a touch screen, wii motion plus, pro controller support, plus a new unique controller that will also be foldable to allow mobile use.  It will be backwards compatible with Wii/Wii U / 3ds.

Should i buy a wii u? Im saving money because i want big games like zelda wii u and beyonetta 2 but i dont know how long it will be until the release of nintendos next consel. I just got the new 3ds xl and am not sure if i should get it, or wait for the next release. Somone please help. Thank you.

I just pray they don't abuse these IPs. I'd hate to include a candy crush-style Zelda in the timeline.

I don't think the NX is big news right now. We know nothing about it, and Iwata said we'll hear more Next year. It most likely won't be released until 2017. Iwata just mentioned it to keep people from thinking Nintendo would stop the console business.
