The problem I hear are the words contracts and attorneys. I understand, at some point, you have to treat a band as a business, but if you need lawyers and managers to communicate with each other, your band is already fucked.

I love how Peter explains this! If they wanted a "New Kiss", then take off the makeup and make new songs, new scene and prosper. I also like that he acknowledged Eric and Tommy! Peter is a part of the original Kiss and he, as also well as; Ace, Paul and Gene- should be considered.

Much like in The Eagles, it was ultimately ego that destroys. Most bands start out on equal footing, then the "stars" develop, it goes to their head, and they start demanding a bigger piece, more control, etc. In my experience, you can't easily have a successful band if there are varying degrees of "importance". A vocalist thinks he's more important than the lead guitarist... the lead guitarist thinks he's more important than the rhythm guitarist, they all think they're more valuable than the drummer or the bassist.... then the band fractures. Look at the masters: The Beatles, Queen, Led they never replaced someone over egos. They had their run, then disbanded, and never tried to be "the by replacing someone.

I once met Paul and there was only one other fan present. He refused to sign my album even though I told him I have been a fan for over 44 years. I also told him that I was present at the 1st Aussie tour 1980 VFL Park as a 13 yr old. He was arrogent and full of himself and refused to sign

Well said Peter! I was an athlete in my 20s and 30s - being a full time athlete you are always carrying an injury. You treat it preform and treat it again. It is the only way.

What I had heard. And Ace kind of said this too. Ace told Peter he was making twice as much as him. So Peter got mad and refused to sign a new deal unless he made more money. Paul n Gene said no.

Having been a lifelong KISS fan from the beginning of the band, I can say with 100% brutal honesty, Peter and Ace “HAD IT ALL AND, BLEW IT”! This will ruffle quite a few fan’s feathers but, que sera sera. If they could’ve kept a handle on their demons (NO, NOT GENE), and just did their jobs within the KISS family, they would still be in the band THEY HELPED CREATE!, BUT NO…THEY LET THE BOOZE AND DRUGS TAKE CONTROL AND THEY FUCKED UP, PLAIN AND SIMPLE!! They don’t have a leg to stand on. And, as far as Tommy and Eric wearing the ICONIC Spaceman and Cat makeup, it was trademarked BY KISS, which they gave up their rights to when they left. So, all I can say is “too bad, so sad”!!!
