I remember back in school, nearly everyone’s favourite kiss member was either Peter or Ace, this says a lot.

He never used drugs or alcohol..but he was addicted to money and women...that addiction hurt the ones around you just as much

Let's admit to the fact that what Paul said was final. He's more than likely the reason Ace and Peter, as well as Bruce were not invited to the finale show in December of last year.

Gene should know better. Jackie Gleason was one of his heroes on TV, and Jackie was famously drunk daily while writing and then never rehearsing, but performing masterfully in front of live audiences sweating his ass off, being funny as hell. There are too many to name.

Ace was not in and out of the band three times. He left in 1982 and did the same in 2001, when his reunion contract expired.

Gene always says that Ace was fired!! HE Ace was NEVER fired from Kiss, NEVER!!
Back in 1984 in NYC at Radio City Music Hall during the Lick It Up tour Vinnie was throwing a bitch
fit with Paul because he wanted a longer solo. My dad was working backstage and he remembers
Gene asking for a phone, he ended up calling ACE and asked him to please come back to the band.
Ace said no, he couldn't do it. So Vinnie got Lucky, but in the end he was fired in Canada as both Paul
and Gene had had enough of him. But Ace could have rejoined Kiss in 84, but he said no.

Ace was never let go, he left on his own twice. Peter on the other hand was let go 3 times. Just wish he’d get that right, he knows what happened

"You wont be witty".... Gene was really witty on the Tom Snyder show where ACE was the life of entertainment on that interview.

Ace Frehley was never fired or “let go”…. And as the drum tech for Cozy Powell, Alex Van Halen (1977) and a lot of other drummers it was a no brainer and quite evident that Eric Carr was the bands best drummer while Peter had the most iconic voice and that all important “IT FACTOR”.

Gene, you're full of it. You and Paul should have offered Ace and Peter formal contracts to appear and pay them accordingly. What you did was a not sincere; "yeah come by anytime and you'll be welcome". You know they would not just show up without rehearsal, sound check, etc. I call BS on you!

The reason Peter left is because he was out of control at the time. He was also having relationship issues. Ace left because he wasn't into "Unmasked" & "Music From The Elder." In fact, Kiss had to end the "Dynasty" tour early because of poor ticket sales. Kiss was no longer a band at that time. It took a staff of song writers to write "Creatures Of The Night" and Ace has stated that he may have stayed if they had presented that album to him instead of "Music From The Elder" His solo album from 78 was the best selling one. Not to mention how poor all the other solo albums sounded. His was the only solid album of the four. Vincent wrote nearly all of "Lick It Up" and my two favorite non makeup songs were written by him. "Young & Wasted" & "Not For The Innocent"
Kiss went "Glam" back when they did "Lick It Up" & "Asylum'"

The last original Kiss album was "Love Gun" & that album didn't come about from the four of them working together. The only time Kiss has ever worked as a band was before the "Kiss Alive" album. The worked out a few songs here & there in rehearsals & the studio, but that's about it. Everyone started treating each other like business partners instead of friends. That's why Ace left kiss.
Gene knows this too. But don't expect to much truth from Gene & Paul. They always talk like they're the most important people in the room. And for whatever reason, they also live to put down the original members of Kiss.

Pub is short for public house, not public hall 👍

If the ship was going down with Ace and Peter in the band....then the ship should have gone down, with Ace and Peter in the band and not this BS we watched for the last 20 years. Lame excuses as always.

Ace was never “let go” as Gene says. Peter yes, Ace No

Good man. Met him and Paul once back stage in Saskatoon in 97 I think. Very smart and a humble man considering he is a God. Treats everyone with utmost respect.

Gene.... you were literally TOO HARD on Ace and Peter. Ace was the SOUL of KISS. As a lifelong Kiss fan the SOUND of the original KISS died when he was no longer there.

Gene the word "Pub"
A pub (short for public house) is in several countries a drinking establishment licensed to serve alcoholic drinks for consumption on the premises. The term first appeared in England in the late 17th century, to differentiate private houses from those open to the public as alehouses, taverns and inns.

Paul and Gene started the band and wrote The Lion's share of the music. They were diligent and stayed focused while the other two wreck themselves and sabotaged the band. Paul and Gene keep the band relevant and then allow them to come back for a huge payout on the reunion tour. If Ace and Peter are your favorite members that's one thing but to say that they are the heart and soul of the band is a huge exaggeration.
