This guy was definitely fed calculators instead of milk as a baby

He explained it so well, I understood it the first time around. What a genius

The man other physicists are afraid of.

This is hands down the best explanation i heard, about the reason we should strive for a theory of everything.

Amazingly brilliant man and super-coherent explanation, and somehow delivered like a sixth grader reading his essay on what he did over summer vacation lol!

A truly smart man can explain even the most complex things in simple terms anyone can understand … that’s this guy right here .

This guy is an exciting DJ on the weekends. Surprising.

We like the idea that the universe would be describable with one set of rules. Because that is the way our brains evolved, to recognise patterns. The universe on the other hand says “Ha!”

Can we get this guy on bobbly lee's podcast?

All physicists talk about Ed Witten as the smartest person they ever met. I've held multiple very intelligent probably geniuses themselves talk about how scary smart this man is.

He pursued physics after completing bachelor in arts. Its not fair.

●Einstein's Gravity theory -
'non linear mathematics'.
●Bohr/Planck's Quantum theory - 'single / multivariable calculus / Linear Algebra mathematics'.

This makes me think about how emergence causes individuals to come together and create something greater than the sum of its parts could, creating different, even unexpected behaviors...

Good explanation. Is this the big bad wolf Weinstein was talking about on JRE?

At age of 17 back in my highschool days back in ERITREA, I asked our chemistry teacher who was teaching us about atoms and electrons and introduction to periodic table, if the idea of electrons rotating a nucleus of an atom has anything to do with what our geography teacher taught us earlier in the day about the planets rotating the sun.

My chemistry teacher quickly quashed my question as non sense and basically told me to focus on the class at hand.

The question never left my mind.

The more I understand astrophysics and basic quantum mechanics these days the more the two ideas seem to have the same law that govern them.

Edward Written is considered a rock star of modern physics. Why not get his thoughts on something a little more substantial? Anybody who has read popular science for a year could have made this short video.

I can reconcile the two theories, but I'm not doing it for free.
