If you glide towards a guy and he gets by you without a problem then hockey isn't for you. 0:41 you can attack him just don't glide into him, lead with the stick and angle him so that you start to drive him up the boards toward the blue line

Hi Jeremy,
I have a problem keeping the puck in the offensive zone on the boards. I try using my skate, my stick and for the life of me, I either am off on my timing the puck goes by or it deflects off of me and goes out of the zone. As a defenseman, I feel like a major failure, especially when my team is depending on me to keep the play going. What can I do to work on this ? Is it an eye/hand coordination thing ?

Hi coach. I am currently playing in a "high energy" pick up league. These are great tips. We are not allowed to body check. Can you please do a video that gives pointers to playing effective defense without being able to body check? I'm 55 and most of the guys are my age or late 40s. We play really well but nobody wants to get hurt. We play to have fun and go for beers after the game. I and I'm sure there are lots of men that would appreciate any advice you could give to us. thanks
