I had a friend who was a personal assistant to a powerful man. One day her boss was following a colleague's car with his own when the colleague got into a car accident. He called my friend, his assistant, and yelled, "Bob's been in an accident! Call the police!" and she said, "YOU call the police! You're the one who's THERE!" He was stunned silent by the suggestion for a good few seconds. He was so used to telling her to do things for him, the idea of doing it himself was foreign.

as someone who's been underwater in a vehicle, escape immediately is definitely the best advice. dr. grande nails it again.

I live in a rural area of my country - if anything happens out here you are on your own. You have to look out for yourself.

Given that she was hosting friends from out of town and the incident occurred late in the night, it is possible she had some drinks and so was slightly impaired, thus the incorrect gear selection and failure to make a correction in time.

Nah, I'm rolling down windows before I hit the water. Already rehearsed that. Everytime I trailer boats in and out of the water, all windows are already down, for voice communication, and i can bail IF the thing goes down. Be prepared. Good luck breaking that glass. Often you can't even with a tool.

As a billionare she was not accustomed to open car doors or rolling down windows herself so her natural reaction was to call someone to do it for her.

After the scare of an accident, all logical thinking can disappear.

Water pressure in a sinking vehicle does not "equalise when it reaches bottom".
It equalises when it has completely filled with water

If she spent most of her time in NYC, she most likely didn't drive very often and was probably an inexperienced driver. Very sad that she drowned in a pond in a vehicle. Those last few moments must have been terrifying for her.

How she meet two billionaire husbands in a row though?! 😂 That part!

I really appreciate how detailed and researched this video was. A lot of people are trying to spread misinformation about this case so I'm glad videos like this exist to be object and neutral about the situation.

As someone who had an opportunity to get to know Angela a little on several occasions, she impressed me with her kindness, intelligence and good humor. Just a terrible accident. Rest in peace dear Angela.

Imagine being that fortunate, only to die in such an odd and incredibly tragic way.

The older I get the more I realize that going to a particular university doesn’t make one smart. It indicates that you’re good at doing what you’re told to do and you come almost certainly from a wealthy background. I know people who have degrees from Ivy League schools who couldn’t creatively solve a problem if their life depended on it.

years ago I was driving down the highway in winter. I was listening to music and had a sudden desire to open my window all the way down. I felt the cold air and kept driving for a while with the window open, then suddenly I lost control of the vehicle and it ended up upside down and a total loss. I unbuckled my seat belt and climbed out of the upside vehicle. not a scratch. Thank God I opened the window beforehand.

I experienced this firsthand this weekend lol after flying to Dallas and renting a Mercedes SUV on Turo... while traveling in the dark and rain I tried to turn on the wipers and instead shifted into neutral at 70+ miles per hour. Thankfully the computer is smart enough not to allow it to go into reverse while traveling forward at that speed but was still stressful with my wife and son in the car and crazy traffic around me... By muscle memory I grabbed the shift lever at least 10 times this weekend thinking I was activating the wipers! I've driven many hundreds of models of vehicles but it's difficult to bypass muscle memory from my daily driver.

Dr. Grande, you were very kind and reserved in your analysis on this one!

My theory is simple. She was drunk.

All day partying with friends= drinking wine by the bottle
Why she reversed = drunk
Why she accelerated = drunk
Why she didnt stop when she realized she was reversing- drunk people have slow reaction time
Why she called her friends and not the police = drunk and didnt want a DWI
Why she didnt attempt to say herself= drunk

It makes the most sense to me.

All the stench of a privileged life. I cut hair in S.F., Ca.for a living and it's always the case that my wealthiest clients (tech millionaires) have the smallest array of life skills. Many can't swim, ride a bike, use a manual transmission, change a tire, etc. The meek shall truly inherit the earth the moment the network fails.
