Same thing happened to me, the glass cracked and had to get the door replaced for 8k and left a dent on the wall and the door wouldnt close and we had to get it towed

is safe to say always double check the doors are closed before changing the car from parking to drive reverse or whatever it will be worth it on the long run so this dosent happen to you

It screams at you in large letters and an audible warning if you try to move with the doors open.

Cars are supposed to warn you if the door is open. My car even takes the gear out.

Edit: Its the sound of the tesla beeping if theres no space, saw another video. The sound comes from the tesla

I love how it takes the stupid thing *6-7 SECONDS* to realize “door mechanism failure” after colliding with the garage frame and then alerts the driver with the “door alarm” buzzer. 🤣

Next software update will warn with a loud voice and avoid any move of the car if any door is still opened!

I think when you try to drive with a back door open It should not allow you and a pop up window should come on the screen. Touch it to override and then you can drive with the door open if you want. It would be better than an alarm.

If you leave the door open it would give you a warning. So, it would be quite dumb to ignore that warning.
