Imagine being a medieval doctor with modern medical knowledge... You would be burned at the stakes for witchcraft

Having an STD is as painful as passing a kidney stone. They both hurt and those who have them, go to the doctor like right now.

I remember a time when Pope John the Twenty Third made a trip to the U.S.A. After a press conference, an assumed follower of his religion was somehow allowed to ask a question of the pontif. She instead made a comment about the Popes speach on birth control which I'll never forget. She stated to the Pope that because he doesn't play the game, he shouldn't make the rules.

Syphilis eventually destroyed nose, & even the bones on some. It also passed on to babies, causing severe problems & deformities to kids with congenital syphilis.

Capone got syphilis. He eventually went nuts after it was left untreated. He hid vast amounts of money before he lost his sanity but by the time he lost his mind, he completely forgot where all his stashes of money were hidden.

It kind of makes you wonder how mankind has survived with all of these ailments we had to put up with.

Thank god we didn't live in these hyper religious and less informed old days. The past was the worst.

I'm not saying the present doesnt have problems, but the past was so much worse.

It’s funny how literacy was something only the rich and leaders would learn and it would keep everyone else illiterate. Don’t take advantage of the fact that we are all taught to read and write nowadays.

Looking at vids like this, it always makes me question myself all the time: With so many wars, diseases, different ethics etc, how did the humanity survive to this day?

It’s stuff like this where as soon as folks give a response to stuff that’s not grounded in science and modern medicine I immediately start to tune things out
