I forgot to post on this a week back! The tech level of the door has been lowered dramatically. Perhaps only after you've completed the mission, I don't know for sure. But I went back down to check.
Intially I had to go via the other door because I wasn't spec'd in to Tech. But upon revisiting the door was like level 3 Tech or something silly.

Damage-wise, Byakko is better having all the same stats, but bleed chance in place of burn change, and more damage. It also has a leap that gives you a flurry at the end of the leap.

Byakko is the weapon given to you for completing all the japantown missions.

Byakko doesn't look as cool though.

I did the mission and i forgot to get this sword. Saw your video and went back and discovered the door open. I must have opened the door at some point and didn't search well. The sword was there waiting for me. Waiting for its true master. V. V, the master slayer. Now, I intend to run rampage in night city. Good luck

As of December 21st 2024 I was able to get it after completing Disasterpiece and not having my tech to lvl 20. I was able to go to the furnace room, the only door that required tech was at lvl 9.

One of the most gorgeous katana and was teased when CP first came out but you couldn’t get it.. until now. Just went and got it and im in love with it.

I went back after having completing the mission already. Level 37. Door was a 3 tech point check fortunately 😅

So kinda in a tough situation but can’t find the sword even when I’ve checked my stash, when to the black market vendor, and went to the factory myself, didn’t find it so i think i might be screwed

I did the mission and it wasn’t there, i went back after a couple of side missions and it still was MIA. Ill try the other methods, might be a unfinished patch or something😢🤔.

*IMPORTANT* hey so for some reason all these creators keep saying you have to have 20 tech to unlock the door and while yeah that is true, you can simply also explore the area, or at least that’s what I did, and found a door that was only 3 tech .. soo, yeah.
it IS possible to get it you just have to look around a little bit, cause I was determined to get this mofo, I don’t have the dlc and wasn’t about to respec just to get this so, yeah, there ya go

I opened the door during the mission and looked for the sword and it wasn’t there, went back like a day later and it still wasn’t there I’m just wondering if u need phantom liberty

Surprise the new update let’s you get passed the door for only 3 tech ability lol
