How to Completely Ruin Maelstrom in Cyberpunk 2077

Making good on what I said NYE that I'd release this Short once I got it done. It's been on the backburner because it required a whole new save and playthrough to accomplish, since it is reliant on specific choices at the beginning of the game.

First run through killed Royce picked up the detonator and went “well idk what this is blowing up” and blew brick into pieces without even knowing anything

I saved Brick for one reason : That's the only gang leader in NC that will reply to "I killed your guys " "Well they should have been stronger".

I opened the door for Brick and deactivated the charge, but I still killed him. This resulted in him being present in the mission, just he was laying on the ground dead, whenever he would have dialogue he would pop right back up, but he would be completely silent when talking, no subtitles, nothing. When he was done with dialogue he would go right back to being dead, pretty funny how the game didn’t anticipate me killing him even after opening the door.

"everyone kills royce"
>Me warning royce about the virus on the paychip and saving brick so I'm welcomed as family in Malestrom when i go to pick up Isis 😅

I can’t believe I destroyed all of maelstrom without even realising it

Maelstrom and the Scavs are the only two gangs where I go out of my way to zero every single one, no acceptions

I could never kill Dum Dum. He offered me a hit of his Black Lace. Sharing is caring. I could never kill someone like that.

It's actually pretty surprising how much these very minor differences in choices could drastically affect future quests
If CD took more time to cook up Cyberpunk, I bet it would've had more of these types of choices and bringing more depth to the story

Killed Royce because he was an overconfident, stupid, brutish psycho, saw Brick in his cell, was debating whether or not I should let him out, kill him or just leave him and explored the other room nearby. Then I came upon the detonator and my one braincell mind was just slamming down on the loot button while rummaging through the room... so I blew him up and thought "oh no... anyways..."

I think right after this mission, after seeing some more Maelstrom brutality I decided that I would establish a scorched earth policy against that gang. So when Patricia betrayed me, she just accelerated her demise since I did not plan to leave that area without a fight, especially after seeing the needlessly beat up woman.

Maelstrom and Raffen Shivs were the only gangs were I went lethal even if I did not have to, and with absolutely zero remorse. :P

Idk why but that scene when V draws his weapon on Royce and Jackie does his thing it looks so badass. And then when you shoot him. I love this game so much😂

I had no idea I killed them all off. Honestly the second Jackie started getting aggro I was like "Fuck it. You want a fight Jackie? Let's give em one"

This is the only outcome I’ve gotten 😂

Every single play through I forget what that detonation thing is for and blow him up

I never even saw Brick, OR a detonator. So I guess he's still locked there to this day... Anyways... *procceeds to raid Arasaka Tower alone*

Hacked the credchip, shot Royce in the head, saved Brick. Kept the eddies for myself.

Best way to play the quest, I've done it that way like, three times now.

Even knowing the context, the video opening on the gibberish sentence of "you're sent to get BesIsis from totentanz" makes it sound like he had a stroke, lmao

That's the very first one I got, and most of the ones after. What can I say? being Maelstrom's designated grim reaper is fun!

Way I saw it on my first game, having a gun to your head is just Night City, cut a deal with Royce on the hacked chip, became buds with Dum Dum, shot up Militech, no regrets

Dude i cant believe how many options and consequences there are to this little throw away tutorial mission... Really enjoying this game so far (only just started it recently)

I take out Royce and Brick both every time. The reason is simple: A lot of gigs involve killing Maelstrom, it doesn’t make sense to be buddy-buddy with the leader of the gang if you’re killing his men left and right. Plus V doesn’t leave witnesses.
