What Happened To Every #1 Pick In The 90's?

The 90's was a great time for the NBA I mean Jordan basically owned it. But while Jordan was dominating there where some #1 picks brewing on the sidelines getting better and better each year, just waiting for there time to shine!

So just who where these #1 picks and what ended up happening to them?

Man Derrick Coleman was cold in his younger years! Definitely one of those forgotten great players of NBA

Joe Smith played over a 1, 000 games. You have to be a pretty solid player to hang around that long

Larry Johnson's postseason action was the Hornets' first apperance in the NBA playoffs. In the first round, they defeated the Celtics in four games (back then it was best of five), with Alonzo Mourning hitting a buzzer-beating jumper from the top of the key to win the series.

Tim Duncan.
His impact on and off the court were done with class and dignity.

His example is a good visual that life is always bigger than basketball.

Thank you for the presentation.

What's sad about Coleman is he said if he'd of taken his health and life seriously he'd be a hall of famer.

Good video, I always wondered what happened to all those first picks that didn’t succeed. Nowadays most of our first picks are actually succeeding or getting back to top shape which is why the game is really competitive today.

"Iverson stands as one of the most prolific scorers in NBA History"

So fun fact: he actually has less total points than Tim Duncan!
I know people think Timmy wasn't a scorer, but the fact he has more points than AI or Barkley, some of the most efficient offensive players to every play the game? Yeah, he's ridiculous!

At Duke, Elton Brand led his team to the NCAA final and lost to UConn in 1999, not 1998. The tournament final result in 1998 was a Kentucky victory over Utah.

Great vid! The 1996 draft rivals the 1984 Draft as was one of the best drafts of all time not only A.I. but Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash), Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Ray Allen, Stephon Marbury, Jermaine O'Neal, Peja Stojanovic, and Antoine Walker. All all stars and 4 MVPs between them.

I am a spurs fan lemme tell u a lil fun fact bout Tim Duncan. In high school and college he played center but when he was drafted we still had David Robinson as center so he was moved to PF. An history was made

Great video once again thanks !Michael Olowokandi was physically ready for the NBA but not mentally he's one of the guys (Andrew Bynum is one of them)who dismissed Kareem Abdul Jabbar 's offer to help him develop his game. Not the smartest move in my humble opinion.Big respect for AI and Elton Brand, Chris Webber was an awesome power forward .Too bad DC didn't have a better career, he was a beast with the Nets !

Also in regards to Shaq, he was named the 50 greatest NBA players and the 75 greatest NBA players of all time.

You didn't mention that Glenn Robinson played basketball for The United States in the 1996 Summer Olympics. I think winning the gold medal was the "crowning moment of his career."
