My son died from using dust off and wippits at the age of 28. Thank you for talking about this topic. He was my only child; I died the day his body was found. At that time, we didn't even know that this was a thing, let alone something that was addictive and deadly. TMI alert: he was found in his apartment bedroom, which contained nothing but a 4-foot-tall hoarder type of situation, filled with nothing but empty cans. And a bed. So, yeah, my baby died surrounded by 4 feet of nitrous cans. I wish I had known.

I’m a barista I serve her coffee often. She’s always kind. I hope she gets well.

"Like a hug from God" was exactly how I described the first time I shot heroin 25 years ago. On July 16th, God willing, I will celebrate 8yrs years clean & free from the bondage of addiction & self. My hugs from God now are my nieces & nephew, plus everyday I wake up & make the choice to choose life. WE CAN & DO RECOVER FROM THE HOPELESS SLOW SUICIDE!

I am shocked by how aware she is of how the addiction got to her, the way it controlled her, and she is fighting for her life. I am proud of her. And she has a very kind and assured spirit about her, that is at the same time fighting trauma, and I wish I could give her a hug. I pray she stays sober.

“It felt like a hug from God but it was really the Devil..” great explanation for SO many things in life that draw us in

I worked for a dentist who liked to "do the gas". Dental offices at that time has tanks that held 244 cu.ft. of pure nitrous. Ultimately, he developed hand tremors, for one thing, and lost his ability to perform dentistry. It's no joke.

Lady, if your reading these comments, i want you to know soberity will be hard most days but its so worth it. Your life is so worth living. You owe it to yourself to remain sober.

I work at a vape shop. This was just made illegal to sell in vape shops in my state. I have one regular customer who would come in every so often for a can, until one day he dropped over $300 on it in one day. I asked my boss if I should ever cut someone off and he said no. It’s insane.

I don't think people realize how hard it was for her to come forward about this. For her to get so much hate and still continue to spread awareness makes her a very strong woman. I don't know her but I'm proud of her!

With only two months sober, your body is still in serious healing recovery. It took a beating. If you stay sober a year, one day at a time, it will feel so much better and you'll know how to cope with it. Keep working on yourself, kiddo, you're worth it.

"I was depressed but who isn't tho" hit hard because I never let anyone know what thoughts course through my mind and how I feel on a daily basis.

She is actually very level-headed, and I love that she is advocating for how dangerous this shit is. ❤

I love her. She’s so vulnerable and honest. Takes a lot of guts to be this way.

I am a doctor. I have never heard of this kind of addiction. I don’t use drugs, but during the anesthesia for my cesarean section, I received some medication that gave me the sensation she describes, that 'hug.' At that moment, I felt such a great peace that I thought: if I die now, I will be happy. It is not 'normal' to feel that way. The temporary relief from pain through the use of drugs comes at a very high price. Currently, I am experiencing complications from COVID, feeling a lot of shortness of breath. I hope she recovers. It’s very difficult to be in this state. I wish everyone who is going through tough times, fighting to break free from any addiction, to be victorious. 🙏♥️

I knew a girl so addicted she was doing it while she was driving. She wrecked her car and was trapped . While the paramedics were cutting her out, she was trapped in a car in a ditch, and was steadily huffing the can the whole time!! Unreal

Wow, I’m so astonished by her story. This video really got me. I have never seen someone explain addiction so unapologetically and honestly. I appreciate her so much. Thank you Mark.
