The Debilitating Impact of OCD as an Autistic Individual I talk about how OCD is a painful and impactful symptom of autism that I struggle with every day. I describe my compulsive need to step over straight lines with my right foot, and how distressing it is when I don't do it correctly, forcing me to go back and repeat the process. #OCD #Autism #MentalHealth

I was in the US Air Force. My Dad was a Marine. My uncles Army. I run in cadence. I don't say it out loud but in my head yes. My house has to be a certain way or I can't think. My car has to be a certain organization or shopping becomes weird. I even watch videos of others with OCD mowing yards (Midlife Stockman). I think OCD is just as genetic as ASD. After watching your channel I started watching my family. Dad's family ADHD and OCD. Mom's family ASD, alcoholism and depression. Alcohol is a coping strategy for anxiety. Dad'a family out going and friendly. Mom's not necessarily. Mom's family has their own small town. Coal mines tore it down in the 70's but they stayed in the same area.

Places like malls were always challenging because I take the same number of steps on each different surface or color of surface and malls always have different color tiles all over the place

Don't bust your ankles. You need them for driving the Tesla. I miss sunny North Wales but due to trauma, I'm not going to be able to visit North Wales again, because it triggers and reminds me of my past trauma. In other news, it looks like I'm going to Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Durham, England, with a daytime coach trip to London, to meet my brother. Just waiting for my suspended driving license to come back (suspended due to medical issues)
