Parts of Canada and the US's northwest are in the grip of a heatwave of record highs as some cities have opened cooling centres where people can escape the soaring temperatures

For everyone making fun of the situation it is actually very serious, I have lived in hot climate where winter's lowest temperature is 8˚C and the highest in summer is 49˚C (41˚C of difference), but what we are talking about here is having winters of -39˚C and just a month ago we had -10˚C and now we are living in 39˚C ( 78˚C of difference)! Sure as humans we can adapt to the change but with a bit more of struggle when the change is grater.
