Creatine was first identified in 1832 when Michel Eugène Chevreul isolated it from the basified water-extract of skeletal muscle. He later named the crystallized precipitate after the Greek word for meat, κρέας (kreas). In 1928, creatine was shown to exist in equilibrium with creatinine. Studies in the 1920s showed that consumption of large amounts of creatine did not result in its excretion. This result pointed to the ability of the body to store creatine, which in turn suggested its use as a dietary supplement.

In 1912, Harvard University researchers Otto Folin and Willey Glover Denis found evidence that ingesting creatine can dramatically boost the creatine content of the muscle. In the late 1920s, after finding that the intramuscular stores of creatine can be increased by ingesting creatine in larger than normal amounts, scientists discovered creatine phosphate, and determined that creatine is a key player in the metabolism of skeletal muscle. The substance creatine is naturally formed in vertebrates.

I take a desiccated beef organ supplement now and am feeling amazing. I'm about to go back into doing some fasts that are longer than just IF, which seems to be along the lines of how we are meant to be off and on during the year. Tons of healing during fasts.

Thank you for the info on Creatine. I need to add it to my routine, my sister uses it and she seems to get a lot of benefit from it. It's amazing how you tie these things back to the sources, that's an amazing quality. Your book is going to be Fire!!

Yep, they definitely had creatine - just not in the quantities that it is available today. Great video Thor! 👍🏻😎

Yeah my old man loved the tripe, not for me mate lol, I didn't mind the pigs trotters we ate back in the day though, thinking of getting them again in honour of him.
