Note, you will need to shave the area before using laser hair removal device, it doesn't remove the hair as such, it prevents it from growing back once it falls out. No waxing or any other forms of hair removal ok if you want the laser to work. If you have hormonal related excess hair, like PCOS these will help reduce hair growth, but it may take longer and you may not get permanent results, but no method can promise permanent results for this, unfortunately.

Sorry. Don't like the new set. It's harsh. And the lights wash you out

Great video! I have a question: I have very fair skin and dark hair and on my arms I have also a lot of pigment nevus (like freckles). Could this device affect the pigment in the freckles and perhaps cause some kind of damage?

I’m considering a home device, but have a few questions. How high is the risk of hyperpigmentation with these home IPL devices? How much is known about the long term effects of IPL?

Nothing beyond what you can find in instructions for those devices. Shouldn't dermatologist talk for instance about it's safety (is it? isn't it?), can it age you skin prematurely etc.

Slightly austere background and echoey. Makes me think your sitting in a tiled bathroom, nevertheless still wonderful :)

I love my Phillips Lumea! I have pcos and so have lot of facial hair. I have been using my device for over a year now and my upper lip hair has completely gone and now I’m working on my cheek and neck. Also have used it on underarms and it’s almost completely gone. I tend to find it quite slow to use on large body areas but might get to that once I’m finished with my face

I like the backdrop and interesting content:) Getting back on your regime for treating hormonal acne; got a bit lazy in the last few months, but I KNOW it works if I stick to it! Thank you!

Please, how safe are these devices to use on the face? I'm an olive skin tone with dark hair, some melasma and PIH. I've used the Smooth one from Boots in the past with great success (epilation) on legs and underarms. Would love to try doing my upper lip

Hi and thanks for your videos from another medic who loves Makeup etc 🙂
Could I ask something kind of from the opposite end of getting rid of unwanted hair? I have the world's crappest thin, fine hair (female pattern loss) and I've started taking biotin. I've got a bit confused looking at the real spread of doses in the various preps, and I wondered if there was a recommended max dose? Thanks so much xx

The wooden background is really quite nice but maybe all a bit austere. Some flowers or a plant would be nice and add to the natural ambience that the wooden wall gives. I've not used one of those devices but I have fair skin and fair hair so seems would not be the best.

Can I use products like nib and fab glycolic scrub between laser hair removal sessions?

How does IPL react to freckles? I'm fair-skinned, dark-haired but freckled (yes, even the legs) since those are caused by melanin would it damage the skin around the freckle or just not destroy any hairs that happen to be growing under one?
