Please do "Try a Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding. One of the greatest builds in a song ever! He goes from low and slow to being so riled up it's almost like he is speaking in tongues by the end of it. Absolutely amazing

I'm sure you've noticed, that EVERYONE is recommending that you guys react to the movie "The Commitments". Please put it on your list (if it's not already in there). Its an Irish film, so I hope you can handle the accents, they're pretty thick (the accents, not the people) 😜 Joking aside, it's a great movie with some pretty fabulous singing in it.
The actor (Andrew Strong) playing the lead singer (Deco Cuffe) in the band in this movie, was only 16 years old at the time of filming. And his voice was outstanding. 📽🎙🎼🔥🎸🥁🎷🎺

Every time I hear this tune I immediately go to "The Commitments" movie, a story about an Irish "soul" band. Pickett appears in the movie - or at least his limo appears in the movie. Check it out, I'm sure you'll like it if only for the tunes. Irish soul? Yeah, that's a thing! Cheers....

We used to call him “the wicked Pickett”. That’s because his music was absolutely wicked… Which means great

This song reminds me of another movie you MUST MUST MUST see, "The Commitments"!! The lead singer was a mere 16 years old when it was filmed! A banger if there ever was one! Peace and Love, RobSquad!

This was recorded at a studio not far from my current house in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.

Nice! I remember back in 1983 when Sally Ride became the first American woman to fly in space on the Space Shuttle, the local rock station played this song all day to celebrate her achievement. Sally Ride, RIP! Wilson Pickett, RIP!

Jay & Amber, this song is sung in the movie "The Commitments." It 's about a group of Irish misfits who join together to form a band. And what a band, especially the lead singer. It's full of comedy, angst, rivalry and conflict. It's well worth a watch and a must for any music fan.
Oh, Amber, it's full of horns.

A 1967 song from Arthur Conley that definitely needs a reaction: "Sweet Soul Music" pays tribute to the soul singers of the era (including Wilson Pickett) and references some of their hits--including "Mustang Sally." A song that's impossible NOT to dance to...

The "Wicked Pickett" was a gigantic talent. You might also want to check out: "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love", "Don't Let the Green Grass Fool You" and "Land of 1, 000 Dances". Pure soul perfection!

As many have stated, check out the movie "The Commitments" you won't be disappointed.
ALSO: My first car was '75 Malibu Classic that I picked up in '80. I was sixteen. Worked at a gas station and had a paper-route to pay for it (my Pop matched what I raised). First thing I did was rip out the radio and put in a tape deck and new speakers. The bench front seat was perfect for Drive-Ins. lol

Every cover/party band (including four I was in) did this song for decades. If you wanted to get 'em on the dance floor, this was the ticket.

Wicked Wilson Pickett sang "I Found A Love" with The Falcons? He'll blow your eardrums with his voice.

Pickett’s “Hey Jude” with Duane Allman on guitar will blow you away. Studio version.

Great pick, guys! 🔥 Mr. Pickett is a bad cat! 🔥 You should really do the Tom Jones/Wilson Pickett duet medley from TJ’s tv show. Fantastic!

Wilson Pickett and Sam & Dave are really the pioneers of Soul music or what you guys call today, R & B!!! He influenced a lot of artists Robert Plant...Corey Fogerty....Paul many other artists.

My cousin had a '65 mustang and parked it in my parents garage while he was in Vietnam - my Dad took me with him to start it every day . funny the memories that pop into our heads

My first car was a 64 1/2 Mustang convertible. (It was the prototype.) I failed the written driving test 3 times when I was a teenager and kind of gave up on trying. At 21, a co-worker told me her sister was selling it for $500.00. Within a week, I got my learner's permit, the car and my driver's license.
Motivation.

Jay & Amber, you'll love his "Funky Broadway", "6 3 4 - 5 7 8 9 (Soulsville, U.S.A.)", "Engine No. 9", and "Don't Knock My Love"!!!
He is named in the lyrics of the hit song "Life Is A Rock" by Reunion!

Back in high school, I had a friend named Sally and her father bought her, yes, a Mustang. I heard this song WAY more than most people since every day in school the other kids would be singing to her, "All you wanna do is ride around Sally..." In 1990 at the 20 year reunion, they started singing it to her all over again.
