Professor Vyv Evans of Bangor University's School of Linguistics & English Language has conducted research into emojis and has found that they are far more than pretty little pictures.

Professor Evans' findings show that emojis positively enhance digital communication by bringing emotion and tone into text conversations.

It's not the emoji's themselves that are the issue it's the general lack of nuance that makes any transfer of thought and reasoning impossible that is the issue. As a lot of people are simply not learning how to use thier words to express complex ideas

It's not emoji's taking language backwards, it is the primitive keyboards and the very poor inventory of not just words but concepts as well. 👍📹
