World Emoji Day: How emojis are enhancing our communication

Whether you love them or hate them, you can’t ignore them, we're talking about Emojis. The expressive images have been around since 1999 and were created by telecommunications planner Shigetaka Kurita. July 17th was World Emoji Day, Global’s Sharmeen Somani tells us how the expressive pictures came into existence and why so many people love them.
