In this episode of tesla stories we’ll take a closer look at some events where the Teslacam
have captured thieves and a follow upp what happened after these events.

What is Tesla Sentry mode?
Sentry Mode continuously monitors the environment around a Tesla when it’s left unattended.

If a minimal threat is detected, such as someone leaning on a car, Sentry Mode switches to an “Alert” state
and displays a message on the touchscreen warning that its cameras are recording.

If a more severe threat is detected, such as someone breaking a window, Sentry Mode switches to an “Alarm”
state, which activates the car alarm, and plays music at maximum volume from the car’s audio system.

Teslacam Stories is a series of Tesla owners real experiences told by the Teslacam. Many incidents are recorded from my Tesla Model 3, and some videos are submitted to this channel by other Tesla enthusiast. I contact each person who send me their videos to talk with them and learn more about their story and to follow up what happened after what we see on their video. On every video I add voice over and captions of what happened, and why. I believe that this additional information regarding the incident gives my video a newsworthy value.

From the footage and additional information, a viewer can learn the consequences of bad driving and can educate his/her self with better driving safety. This process also gives my video a great educational value. It is my desire to add my own unique and creative value in a transformative way to ensure you enjoy and learn from the videos being presented.

So basically, Sentry mode is awesome. Police and Justice system suck (or at least overwhelmed with this type of crime so dont bother). Got it. Not surprised.

Tesla should upgrade their safety features, like automatically drives away when imminent threat is detected, or just rapidly discharge the current through the body of the offender.

The reason why JJ hasn’t heard anything from the police is because he didn’t take his footage to the news outlet or submit it to journalists. If a video doesn’t get enough views police will ignore it.

So the conclusion is, even with Sentry Mode, policing is the weakness. If there’s no recovery nor prosecution with aim of reducing the crime rate, what’s the point?
