IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, I won’t be responding to Instagram messages anymore. I hope you guys understand. It’s not an easy thing for me to have to say. Back when I first started my channel I had very little subscribers so this was something I could do easily but now as my channel has grown and that I’m a mother to two very young children, it’s impossible for me to respond to everyone. I currently have 92 unread messages in my inbox and that’s only from last week. I’ve also been getting a lot of rude and hurtful messages of people saying that I’m fake because I’m not responding or sending me message after message demanding for my attention. I know how it feels when you’re desperate. Truly, I do. I’ve been there. But please remember I am just one person. A lot of people are also asking me for medical advice but please remember I am not a doctor. I’m just like you.
I have a health anxiety support page on Facebook. Just type in ‘Health Anxiety Community’ and last, I also do regular Q&A’s on my Instagram too to answer any questions people may have. I hope you understand and it’s never my intention to upset anyone. There just isn’t enough hours in the day. Thanks so much. X

Hi, I'm a doctor from Africa, I specialize in laboratory Sciences. I happen to be a victim of Aquagenic Pruritus also. I appreciate you coming out, it's so brave of you. The same way you itch is the same way I do too. It gets so intense especially after using cold water. Or sometimes from your own sweat.

I have it as well, more red marks than bumps. At some places it's less severe ... I can't pinpoint what though, as I'm pretty mindful of temperature and chemical differences. I get rashes (belly button up as well) from all sorts of water (shower, ocean, lake, swimming pools, even my own sweat, luckily I only sweat on my belly while exercising in hot temperatures). I did notice that the closer I take a shower to the beach (comparing a range of 150kms), the closer to the beach, the worse it gets ... pollution? The further inland the better ... Also I went on a worldtrip and I simply had it everywhere, I didn't let it stop me from taking a dip in the beach or lake all be it with less enthusiasm and shorter amounts of time ... It's so great you documented this. I must admit I didn't give it that much thought anymore, it's always been there ... never shower within an hour before heading out and distracting myself after the shower ... fortunately it only takes half an hour before it's gone again.

thank you very much for documenting this! I hope a cure or treatment is found soon but in the meantime this is very comforting for people with similar conditions. i have similar reactions on my legs - i can't figure out what causes it but i get rashes/itching/blisters fairly regularly but not as severe as yours.

I get reactions from the sun. Looks just like you're experiencing at first, but gets progressively worse and i end up with blisters... like you my face is never affected nor my bottom legs. (oddly, i tan very easily.) Sunscreen does not help one bit.

Yep it's not easy
..the most painful part is we can't get it cured and it hurts like hell when you itch a lot..no mater how fast you clean yourself it's still hurts

I have this and have found bath works better for me and I was advise to only bath at night I have to take I lot of anti- histamines which tends to hold it off. The worst is my own sweat. I found lush bath bombs help but i am not as brave as you and tend just not to have baths for a few days at a time as I have developed a bit of a fear of bath and water as with me I can have a bad reaction or I can be okay to use the antihistamines but sometimes it breaks through

Look into Beta Alanine. Surprised it hasn't been mentioned here already.

❤️This happens to me too, it mainly happens on my legs, arms and back. In the beginning we thought it was the soap, laundry soap, chlorine etc. so I’ve tried changing the products we use and I’ve also tried moisturiser but nothing seems to work. I’m only 14 and swim sports at my school is compulsory and taking time off to skip swimming affects my attendance a lot because I’m always sick. The smallest things can make my skin react like doing the dishes or washing my hands and sometimes when it rains. If the water goes past a certain point on my wrist and ankles I’ll start getting itchy and I’ll get really red and, like you, I can’t sit still. It can go on from 15 minutes to a couple of hours. There has been quite a few times where I’ll cry myself to sleep because I can’t handle it.
I’m not sure if I’m allergic to water or not because I don’t blister or anything, I only go really red and have an uncontrollable itch.

Please help, if u have any tips it would be really helpful!! ❤️❤️

Hello, i recently discovered i have aquagenic urticaria as well. When i was younger i though i was just crazy. It feels so nice to see someone with the same condition as me and i feel so much less alone now :D

That is the most horrible allergy i have ever heard of! You should wear a medical alert bracelet in case of accident or unconsciousness.

Please ignore the mean comments from self entitled people. I know how painful it feels having TSW myself. You deserve your own time and you are not obligated to reply to all the messages.

I have this same problem and after doing thousands of experiments of changing water, ph, soap, clothes... I finally found one thing that is helping me from this aquagenic pleuritis...
1) Boil water added with NEEM LEAVES and TURMERIC.
2) Bath using the boiled water..
3) As soon as you bath dry yourself and apply a COLD OIL( Navaratna oil- which i use in India)..

I really tell you that you can feel releif from this therapy...
