Today our video is regarding acretin cream which is used to treat acne. we will let you know how acretin works, its stregth available in the market, how to use, how long should you use, its special instruction before use, and its possible side effects.
Acretin contains active ingredient Tretinoin, which decrease the number and severity of acne pimples and promote quick healing of pimples that do develop. It works by affecting the growth of skin cells. This is also used to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles . it comes in two strenghts which is 0.025 % which is low strenght and and 0.05% which is high strenght.
Now lets see how to use this cream. dont skip this part as it contains important informations
first Wash your hands and . Gently clean the affected skin with a mild or soapless cleanser and dry your skin gently. WAIT 20 TO 30 MINUTES,BEFORE APPLYING MEDICATION
Use your fingertips to apply a small amount of medication (about the size of a pea) in a thin layer as directed by your doctor, dabbing it on your forehead, chin and both cheeks, then spreading it over the entire affected area.The medication should become invisible almost immediately. If it is still visible, you are using too much
Apply Acretin once daily before bedtime.
Note:
if your skin is sensitive, than you start your therapy by applying acretin every
other night
During the first few weeks of using acretin , your acne might appear worse because the medication is working on pimples forming inside the skin.
To get the desired results with Acretin therapy, it is necessary to use it properly, and for best results, use up-to 8 to 12 weeks
Special instruction related to acretin are
This medication may make the treated areas of skin more sensitive to the sun. so Avoid prolonged sun exposure and if going outside, always Use a sunscreen
The skin of certain individuals may become excessively dry, red, swollen, or blistered. To help limit skin irritation and dryness, patients must use mild nonmedicated soap, and dont wash and scrub the face frequently. and always use moisturiser.
Avoid getting this medication in your eyes, inside nose or mouth. If this medication gets into your eyes, flush with large amounts of water. Call your doctor if eye irritation develops
if you feel, your skin is not able to tolerate the medicne, stop the use, and contact your doctor

Side Effects of acretin are
skin pain, pruritus, skin irritation, pharyngitis, and erythema ( redness of the skin )
