We mini bikers always use the vm22 fake micunni and always easy to tune an runs good

Always try the knockoff before the genuine mikuni! Cheaper at first and if you're not especially great at tuning it's a cheap barrier to entry to tune out your ride. Then switch over to mikuni! They do make cheap knockoffs with greater exchangeability than described in the video. Note that mikuni is most definitely better, but not everyone has the money to throw down on something that still involves heavy tuning.

Probably a old topic by now but can you compare a Go Power Sport Mikuni, equivalent vs a real Mikuni?

Thank u for ur video. I agreed 100% with u.

I was so dumb. Being con by mechanic sold me fake mikuni and paying RM300 for it. 🥲 the darn fake mikuni can’t even idle and is jerking my bike timing. Wasted many hours and days to try to get it to work.

In the end I need to fork out another RM200 for a original Keihin, installed it and after starting the bike up in 2 mins the timing was perfect. Moral story don’t buy fake, not worth it. ✌️

Mikuni are sold thru agents only. Knock offs work well and all the jets plus the slide are compatible

Where can i find a genuine 24mm mikuni? Having a hard time finding one that isnt the knock off.

I've had a 95% success rate with aftermarket carburetors and most aftermarket parts. However, some parts have to be OEM because the manufacturer hasn't released the patent or it's because of the difficult location of the part being replaced.

My SSR came with a Mikuni carb from the factory and it has all the parts of the one on the left.. so you’re saying it’s fake from the factory. Why would they do that?

Are there any other knockoffs that are more like the real counterpart?

It is tunable alright. I’ve tried a few cheap knock-offs.

not quite true, the idle screw is blunt on most Mikuni's. Few have longer end, many don't have baffle plates and pilot jets come in different shapes. Jet size missing would be the only true way to tell and the way it's stamped

Good luck buying a mikuni for a yamaha warrior there like 400 dollars

I disagree. Knockoffs are easily tuneable.

As if theres just one knockoff mikuni... you get the garbage for $20-30. You gotta buy one of the $30-50 ones with a jet kit well labeled. But still no splash protection and theyre funky sized but meh

Just replace the needle w a OEM mikuni needle and the jet
