After a wave of high profile crimes and attacks on police, NYC Mayor Eric Adams recently questioned the city's sanctuary status. Is sanctuary status something NYC should keep, or does the city have other unsustainable problems nobody's talking about?

20 million people with no job, housing, financial resources, education, job skills and can’t even speak the language. What could go wrong?

No more tourist, no more business and all the good taxpayers are leaving. Goodbye NY. You had a good run.

"RIGHT TO SHELTER" But that does not apply to actual homeless citizens in NY?

Imagine how much money, time, and resources you'd save, if you didn't let them in to begin with.

A church spending $15000 on bail is mind boggling. I'd be looking for a different church if I was a parishioner. That money could have helped a lot of people.

Cash, the city didn't make those people homeless, they are homeless because they came to the country without having any plans how they will pay for their own homes, therefore, they made themselves homeless. Actions have consequences.

What did they think was going to happen? They can’t even take care of their own citizens.

We owe them absolutely NOTHING. They broken in with no way to support themselves or a plan of any kind. That's not our problem. If they don't like the shelter they can go somewhere else. No one is forcing them to stay there.

Imagine how many free meals and clothes that church could have bought for homeless people with that 15K. Except it's to bail out one single criminal.

I live in NYC and was on the 6 train over the weekend. A Migrant held us up by deliberately stopping the doors from closing. Clearly this happens a lot and the Conductor was angry and said this on the intercom, "Do not give them money!".

"Seeking asylum" really? Then why do they attack citizens?

What did NYC get, 50, 000? And for years they have expected a short list of counties on the border to absorb millions? I feel no pity for NYC.

At this rate, Manhattan won't need congestion pricing. Who the hell would go there?

That $15, 000 should have gone to poor tax paying Americans. People are so stupid.

If the politicians won't change the laws, change the politicians.

There's not a city or town in America that won't feel the impact of illegal aliens, I live in South Carolina in a small rural town of about 2, 500 and two weeks ago they started showing up here hanging out on the street corners and the locals asked town hall why are they here, who dropped them off? The town had absolutely no clue. It's insane.

THERE WAS NO ROOM IN THE FIRST PLACE. New Yorkers are literally on the sidewalks starving...and our govt is giving these free room and board right behind them. Disgusting.
