World's Best Single - Handed Anchoring System for Small Boats.
Показать описание
In this video I show how anyone can safely and easily anchor small boats,
say up to 8m in length, single handed . I would do it by myself in my 4.5m boat in 80m of water when the current was running at 2 knots. The secret is that all the force is taken by the bow eye of the boat via the lazy line. This is the safest holding and lifting point in your boat. NEVER LIFT THE ANCHOR USING A CLEAT TOWARDS THE REAR OF THE BOAT. YOU WILL PULL THE STERN UNDER AND QUICKLY SINK.
The next trick is that the lifting float is permanently on the anchor line and does not have to be clipped on prior to lifting which can be dangerous in heavy seas or when a strong current is running.
Then there is the double bow line knot and stainless clip which holds the anchor on the surface during retrieval.
