I love that Beneteau are pushing the smaller yacht models. 30ish foot is such a nice size for a small family. It’s also great that these boats will be coming onto the second hand market in a few years for a reasonable price!

Thanks Toby and Richard. Really like the modern, tasteful, simple French interiors. There's a definite trend of making sailboats more palatable for power boaters. Some of the results are interesting.

Very nice. I don't want to seem self-indulgent but as a man getting on in years this modernity gives me great pleasure to enjoy again the time when we averaged 19 knots in Police Car 40+ years ago across Bass Strait with 5 of us on board. 320 miles in 18 hours on a very dark night with bow waves shooting past lit up with flouresence with the two best sailors of that time, on my first offshore passage.
I wonder if any of these will ever afford such an experience even 44 years later. Undoubtedly the answer is no, which makes me appreciate my extraordinarily good fortune.
RIP Chris Packer and John Blackman. That boat was a real handful. There was something about those days which makes it hard to believe there will ever be another yachtsman or helmsman like Chris Packer, but you never know.

Said it before and say it again: you really got a challenging job reviewing all these yachts 🤣
But looking forward to the video’s!

I'm also very excited by the Dragonfly 36!
Not sure about the "Nobody knew about it" narrative; they announced its arrival last year already! 😉

Great walk through of BOOT‼️ For me, would have been nice to see some of the power boats. Maybe next time. 👍🏻

Toby Hodges, I am looking forward to a review by you of the Beneteau First 30 including sailing the beast.
Please answer. 'How much/ little wind is needed before you can make the boat plane?'.
My wife and I are considering to buy a Beneteau First 30 so we are to know more about the boat.
When do you think you will release a review incl. sailing of the Beneteau First 30?
