I spend a lot of time in the forest (in Europe) in the summer. But always check when I get home. I had 7 this year, got them off asap with this special credit card sized tool. Never had any problems. Beside from some prolonged bleeding because of the anticoagulants they inject.

Thank you doctor your advice was very accurate due to the covid-19 can't go to hospitals we have antibiotics and clean it and if anything worse occurs we will go to the hospital thank you later we will check up with a doctor as soon as the government allows

I think I got bitten by one at night, to remove it I just whacked it off w my finger... I dont think it was on me long enough but not sure

I know this sounds crazy but if you rub the wet Phosphorus around the bite mark it will go after the scent and get out by itself. Source- own experience
