Pain relief improves the quality of life of patients with cancer

Cancer is among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, responsible for 18.1 million new cases and 9.6 million deaths in 2018. Pain is experienced by 55% of patients undergoing treatment for cancer and by 66% of patients who have advanced, metastatic, or terminal disease. This pain can be relieved in most cases through medicines and other treatments. The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed Guidelines for the pharmacologic and radiotherapeutic management of cancer pain in adults and adolescents to provide evidence-based guidance to initiating and managing cancer pain.

I have stage four colorectal cancer, my pain level is a nine continuesly. I feel as though dying would be the best way of stopping this pain.

My husband also died from pancreatic cancer in 2011 and was given no chance of survival. I also remember him being very nauseous. I am sure maybe for young people they have a chance of survival but the human body was never intended to be kept alive for doctors to practice

It's really sad to have to suffer this pain, when there's people that never have to experience it in there life only a pain the a couple asprins can cure.

& commit

CANCER..& the PAIN
& SUFFERING she was
all the Meds
HavingChemoTreatment
And other
And NOT getting BETTER
But only getting more
illness due to CHEMO, etc
and sick, bedridden, can't
Even shower, or go to the
Washroom, wearing adult
DIAPER..My sister is 40
Years
There is NO WAY..i want
To go through all that

I am beside lady who has just been administered morphine and is vomiting isn’t it better to allow these patients euthanasia if they request it. The patient I am talking about is eighty eight years old.

Thank you doctor. There is no sane rational reason to keep pain meds from cancer pts. Especially advanced cancer.
