Chain sinnet- the single strand braid

Показать описание
The method of shortening and storing rope called the chain sinnet is a quick release technique that can be used to make a variety of items.
It is also called the "monkey braid" or the "daisy chain". It is one of the basic ways of making quick deployment items.
I have in the past used this technique to make a variety of items such as a bracelet, as well as a bottle wrap. It can also serve as an improvised handle made out of rope.

Music by Kevin MacLoud and Jey Row.

This is not quite right the reason is that if you take a closer look at a loop of your chain you will find it is made of a figure 8 knot in pretzel form and that is how it should be made and if you do you will find that it will come undone from the end you started with, the overhand knot chain should be made with half hitches.
